My Background + Story
The short version of how I got here, and why I've worked on the products I've worked on.
Background
I'm a sophomore studying Physics & Philosophy at Wellesley College. Academically, I've always been drawn to understanding the structures that govern our society and the world. Over time, Physics taught me to learn and navigate complexity across variables, dimensions, and probabilities; philosophy taught me to prompt the right questions and present information through a direct line of reasoning.
I found product fortuitously as it somehow blends every sector I've explored and been curious about. From building to finance and even law, I'm so fascinated by the entire product delivery cycle and how I can integrate systems and agents to streamline that process.
I'm an ESL graduate myself and I've also taught English for six years now. That's where some of my instinct for user research comes from: communicating with people in real time and noticing the gap between what they say they need and what they actually do.
How I build
In 2D and 3D! I love the versatility of working across mediums. Integrating mechanical solutions with software and the opposite really allows me to stretch my creativity and present a truly innovative product.
How I think
The project I worked on recently made me realize how features ≠ better. When I think about improving a product, feedback is everything. I'd rather deliver on a problem with a simple solution than create something confusingly complex.
Off the clock
I'm just a regular college student! I enjoy making clothes for my cat, baking cakes with friends, coaching crew, and this habit of redesigning household objects that annoy me.
